Welcome!

Troop 2019 is a community of girls who support and encourage one another, both inside and outside of scouting. Through our troop, scouts have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities, including camping, hiking, service projects, and much more.

Our troop is committed to providing a fun and safe environment for girls to explore new interests and develop important life skills, such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. We believe that by participating in scouting, girls have the opportunity to develop the confidence and leadership abilities needed to succeed in all areas of life.

About Scouts BSA

Scouts BSA is a premier youth development program that offers a range of exciting opportunities for both boys and girls to
develop important life skills, build character, and explore the outdoors. Through a variety of activities such as camping, hiking, and community service, Scouts BSA provides a fun and safe environment where young people can learn leadership skills, make lifelong friends, and grow into responsible, engaged members of their communities.

Scouts BSA is based on a set of core values that include honesty, integrity, and respect for others. Scouts are encouraged to take an active role in their own development by setting goals, working towards achievements, and participating in a range of leadership opportunities. With a strong emphasis on outdoor activities and environmental stewardship, Scouts BSA provides young people with opportunities to explore and appreciate the natural world, while developing a lifelong love of nature and the outdoors.

In addition to the personal and social benefits of being a Scout, Scouts BSA also provides young people with opportunities to develop important practical skills, such as first aid, wilderness survival, and knot-tying. These skills can be valuable throughout life, whether in the workplace, in emergencies, or simply in everyday situations.

Overall, Scouts BSA is a unique and rewarding program that offers young people the opportunity to develop important life skills, build character, and explore the outdoors, all while having fun and making lifelong friends.

Troop Leadership

Scouts BSA activities are mostly planned and led by youth members, but there is always adult leadership available to help ensure that the scouting program is delivered safely and effectively.

The scoutmaster is the most recognizable adult leader, who guides and supervises the scouting program and occasionally addresses the entire troop. Assistant scoutmasters are also available to help with training or other operational needs when the scoutmaster is absent..

In addition to uniformed leaders, there is a committee of adult leaders who take care of the many logistics involved in running a troop, such as treasurer, secretary, and committee chair. These roles are typically filled by parents of scouts in the troop, but it's not mandatory.

At Troop 2019, our leadership is dedicated to supporting and guiding our scouts on their journey to becoming well-rounded individuals. We understand the importance of providing a safe and enjoyable environment where scouts can learn, grow, and develop important leadership skills.
