We camp at least once a month, year-round โ from backpacking trips and snow camps to summer camp on Catalina Island.

Camping is the heart of our program. Every month the troop heads outdoors โ car camping at nearby parks, backpacking trips into the backcountry, and everything in between. Recent favorites include:

Community service
Service is a core part of scouting, and our troop shows up for San Jose. Scouts take part in service projects throughout the year, including:

SUMMER CAMPS
A week of camp every summer
Each summer the troop spends a week at Scout camp โ earning merit badges, swimming, sailing, shooting sports, and building patrol spirit. Camps we've attended include:

WINTER SNOW CAMPS Bear PawWhen the snow falls, the troop heads for the mountains. Our winter snow camps at Bear Paw teach cold-weather camping skills โ and deliver snowball fights, sledding, and hot cocoa by the cabin fire. | โ๏ธ |
